Anti-tilt device for soccer goals from artec Sportgeräte

artec Sportgeräte informs at FVM – Workshop in Hennef about anti-tilt devices for soccer goals

On 24.03.2015, artec Sportgeräte participated in an information event on the subject of artificial turf fields and the safety of sports equipment – in particular anti-tilt devices for soccer goals – held by our partner, the Mittelrhein Football Association. During the event, artec Sportgeräte spoke about the topic:

Anti-tilt device for soccer goals and safety of sports equipment

Due to the current verdict on the goal accident in Augustdorf, in which the youth leader of FC Augustdorf was sentenced to a suspended fine, the topic of safety, in particular the anti-tilt device for soccer goals, has aroused a great deal of interest. In his lecture, artec led the numerous club representatives through the relevant technical rules, such as DIN EN 748, as well as other current resolutions on this topic. Against the background of the obvious liability risks for club directors, trainers and other persons working in an honorary capacity, an intensive and interesting discussion developed, which once again highlighted the relevance of the topic of anti-tilt devices for soccer goals. Apparently, there is a need for information and education on the subject of anti-tilt systems for soccer goals in order to increase the safety of athletes in the long term and to minimize existing liability risks.

During the presentation, the advantages of the artec anti-tilt device for mobile soccer goals were shown. In addition to the high-quality manufacturing, these advantages consist in particular of the easy handling of the anti-tilt device of the goals due to its design. In spite of the necessary counterweights (up to 200 kg), this also enables young people, for example, to move the goals without great effort despite the anti-tilt device. An advantage not to be underestimated in the daily training and game operation: With the anti-tilt device for soccer goals from artec Sportgeräte, customers thus receive safety for their goals with practical and easy handling at the same time!

For years artec has been offering optimal anti-tilt systems for soccer goals

Since artec Sportgeräte has already established a proven anti-tilt system for soccer goals on the market for years, we can of course immediately provide our customers with helpful advice and assistance when needed. Here we would like to emphasize that, in contrast to many other suppliers, artec Sportgeräte does not offer or has not offered any soccer goals with sand filling for the anti-tilt device, which, according to a resolution of AK 2.4 “Sport-, Freizeitgeräte und Boote” of the ZLS (Zentralstelle der Länder für Sicherheitstechnik – Central Office of the Federal States for Safety Engineering), may in future no longer meet the applicable requirements, since “free-standing playing field goals must be designed in such a way that they can be regarded as safe in their own construction”. This may mean that the stability of free-standing soccer goals should be ensured without any additional elements (e.g. sand filling on site) to be added by the user.

Due to the fact that artec Sportgeräte has not used sand-filled soccer goals for many years, it is evident that with regard to the anti-tilt device of soccer goals, the safety of the athletes has already been the focus of attention at artec in the past! A philosophy that now rightly finds its confirmation!
